Toying With Their Future


Program Sponsored by the FRIENDS of the Wisconsin Historical Society

"The toy industry creates and markets war toys emphasizing power and violence for boys and dolls emphasizing romance and beauty for girls, as demostrated at a toy fair in Montreal," reads the summary of this film. Following the screening, Professor and Associate Dean David Riley of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Human Ecology, will moderate an audience discussion. Plan to visit the Toy Stories exhibit before or after this 5-6:30 p.m. program. Refreshments provided.
