Canada's a Foreign Country!: Tracing Your Ancestors To, Through and From Canada
Many of our ancestors were from Canada (e.g., French-Canadians, Acadians, descendants of Hessian soldiers), or passed through Canada (e.g., United Empire Loyalists or nineteenth-century immigrants-particularly English, Irish and Norwegian). If they did, investigation of Canadian records is a necessary part of research on them. This presentation will identify a wide range of resources and research strategies that should make it possible to trace your ancestors in our "neighbor to the North".
