Holiday Movies
Free daily holiday movies! Just ask at the Information Desk to see:
1) A Multicultural Christmas (22 min)
Northern European, African-American, Hispanic, Native American, and Asian youngsters show and explain family and ethnic customs associated with their holiday celebrations. Special foods, songs, stories, games, celebrations, costumes and other holiday traditions are shown for each group.
2) Rouse Simmons: The Christmas Tree Ship (35 min) The Rouse Simmons sank in Lake Michigan in 1912, while carrying fresh-cut Christmas trees to be sold in Chicago. The video covers its history and underwater scenes of the ship today.
