Madison Book Launch for 'Cindy Bentley: Spirit of a Champion'
Born with an intellectual disability, Cindy Bentley grew up living at the Southern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled. Despite the challenges she faced, Cindy not only learned the skills necessary to live on her own, but later traveled the world as a spokesperson for the Special Olympics and became one of Wisconsin's most inspirational leaders and activists.
Meet Cindy Bentley and learn more about her amazing story at the Madison book launch for
"Cindy Bentley: The Spirit of a Champion," the latest addition to the Badger Biographies Series for young readers. Cindy and authors Bob Kann and Caroline Hoffman will speak and sign books at this Barnes & Noble West event.
This event is co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities and Special Olympics Wisconsin.
A portion of the book sales at this event will benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin, but you must print and present
this voucher (
PDF 668 KB) to the cashier if you purchase the book at, or up to one week after, this signing.
