Taste Traditions of Wisconsin: Civil War Letters
See a demonstration of the Society's new digital collection,
Wisconsin in the Civil War. It contains thousands of letters, diaries, memoirs and other original Civil War-era documents.
Actors from Four Seasons Theatre Company will bring the letters to life with a dramatic reading.
A dinner catered by Circolo Catering will feature Wisconsin summer ingredients.
The Great Dane Pub and Brewing Co. will provide beer for the event, and Old Sugar Distillery will provide its special 8th Infantry Cocktail featuring Old Sugar Distillery Cane and Abe Freshwater Rum.
Taste Traditions of Wisconsin is a monthly series that highlights Wisconsin's rich culinary heritage through food, history and sharing stories.
