History and Mystery Tour with Kathleen Ernst and Marty Perkins (Sold Out)

Join author and former Old World Wisconsin interpreter Kathleen Ernst and curator of research Marty Perkins on an unprecedented adventure. Visit the sites of many of the scenes in Ernst's Chloe Ellefson mystery series (Old World Murder and The Heirloom Murders) as they take you on a before-hours, behind-the-scenes tour by foot and by tram. Learn about the inspiration for the series as well as the role of the artifacts and buildings within the museum. At the end of the tour, enjoy a private reception in one of the site's historic buildings and free admission that day. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the tour. Another History and Mystery Tour event will take place on August 12.

Location Description: Old World Wisconsin documents the settlement of 19th- and early 20th-century Wisconsin. It comprises an 1870s crossroads village and 10 ethnic farmsteads located on 576 acres of wooded hills in the Southern Unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest.
