'Odd Wisconsin: Amusing, Perplexing, and Unlikely Stories from Wisconsin's Past' at Chippewa Valley Book Festival
"Odd Wisconsin: Amusing, Perplexing, and Unlikely Stories from Wisconsin's Past" by Erika Janik captures the Wisconsin people, places and events that didn't make it into conventional state histories, lowering a bucket into the depths of Wisconsin history and bringing to light curious fragments of forgotten lives.
Janik will be at the Chippewa Valley Book Festival to give her presentation titled "Odd Wisconsin: Wisconsin History You Didn't Learn in School." Janik will sign copies of
'Odd Wisconsin' following her talk.
Janik is originally from Redmond, Washington, but now lives in Madison. Her work has appeared in Midwest Living, MyMidwest, Wisconsin Trails, the Wisconsin State Journal, Wisconsin Magazine of History and The Onion.
