'West of Thunder' Cinematic Benefit for Stonefield
"West of Thunder" is a Lakota-inspired western set in 1899, nine years after the Massacre at Wounded Knee and the formation of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. The movie's producers filmed it in California, South Dakota and at Stonefield in Cassville. Proceeds from a special screening of the film in nearby Lancaster will benefit Stonefield. Dan Davies, the writer and star of the film will be at the Monday, September 17, screening to talk about the film and answer questions.
