Ojibwe Songwriting

Bobby Bullet St. Germaine is a folk music singer and songwriter whose work reflects his Ojibwe heritage. St. Germaine's songs demonstrate his personal history and also wrestle with issues important to the Lac du Flambeau community. His ability to transform life experiences and local concerns into meaningful lyrics and straight-ahead beats was acknowledged at the highest level in 2010 with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Native American Music Association. Join St. Germaine for a compelling performance as he shares his story.

The museum will present this program in conjunction with the Dane County Regional Airport exhibition, "Wisconsin Folks: Masters of Tradition," organized by the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Tandem Press and the Wisconsin Arts Board. The exhibit, which runs through March 2013, highlights the Arts Board's Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program.
