History Sandwiched In: Five Wondrous Wisconsin Women

What do the author of "The Settlement Cookbook," the co-founder of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, a Civil War heroine known as the "Civil War Angel," a global messenger for Special Olympics, and a player from the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League have in common? All are women from Wisconsin who overcame innumerable obstacles to achieve and excel in their chosen fields. Author and storyteller Bob Kann will share these extraordinary tales he wrote about in the Wisconsin Historical Society Press' 'Badger Biographies' series for young readers. A book signing will follow the program.
