An actor will portray early Wisconsin naturalist Increase Lapham and discuss the research in compiling his book, "Antiquities of Wisconsin," a discourse on effigy mounds. Tours of Whitewater's Effigy Mounds Preserve will be conducted after the presentation. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place at the Irvin L. Young Memorial Library, 431 W Center St.
We are proud to hold this event in celebration of Wisconsin Historic Preservation and Archaeology Month.
