Taste Traditions of Wisconsin: Secrets of Smart Dressing with Wisconsin's Best-Dressed Actress, Lynn Fontanne (Sold Out)


Mount Mary University Historic Costume Collection Curator Elizabeth Gaston will highlight the stage wardrobe of Lynn Fontanne from the 1920s to the 1960s. Why was she known as "The Best-Dressed Actress of Broadway?" What are the elements of tasteful dressing? Learn what she did to transform herself from an awkward tomboy to an elegant leading lady, and see one of Fontanne's stunning dresses on display as part of the museum exhibit, Wisconsin Women of Style. Dinner will be provided by Blue Plate Catering.
