Another popular feature returning to Circus World in 2007 is Elephant Encounters. Doug Terranova's Texas-based animal talent agency will present two 30-minute Elephant Encounters daily at 10:45 and 4:30 p.m. The shows will demonstrate how animal handlers educate and care for these ponderous pachyderms and what the animals' lives are like as circus performers.

These unique shows give circus goers an authentic, up-close and firsthand look at the education of elephants in the ways of circus entertainment. Elephant Encounters is made possible during the 2007 season through the generosity of Jack Lussier.
