Sunday 24th [23rd]
At home all day. The girls went to church this evening. I remained at home. Mr. Casey spent the evening with me. Dr. Nelson called this afternoon and we analyzed a flower which we found yesterday, which was very singular. It was [indecipherable] or Spider wort. He showed me a picture of his sister, a girl of thirteen, a nice looking little girl.
