Former legislator; teacher; real estate agent; civic, school, and church volunteer. Elm Grove Village Bd. 1976-81; Elm Grove village president 1981-87. Assumed office as lieutenant governor, May 9, 2001, upon appointment by Governor Scott McCallum with the consent of the Wisconsin Legislature.
