Definition: "Word was received here of the death at Eugene, Ore., of W.E. Miner, 73, pioneer forest county lumberman. For years he conducted extensive logging and sawmill operations in northern Wisconsin. He established the village of Minertown, Wisconsin now known as Carter. Miner became a resident of Oregon in 1920."
