Term: Treaty of 1833 (Chicago)
Definition: Agreement negotiated Sept. 26 at Chicago with the Potawatomie, Ojibwe, and the Ottawa, who ceded all their remaining lands in Wisconsin; the Potawatomie soon after left en masse for lands west of Mississippi.
