Term: Bucking-board (logging)
Definition:
A bulletin board on which a list of crews was posted. Superintendents pitted one crew against another to get a greater amount of work out of them. Much despised by some workers because the men felt the competition drove them to work too hard. View more information about logging elsewhere at wisconsinhistory.org
