Term: Wisconsin Federation of Women's Clubs (WFWC)
Definition: State federation organized in 1896 whose purpose was to improve the general welfare of the state; its activities included working to establish libraries throughout the state, improving laws affecting women and children, improving educational facilities, a conservation program, an educational loan fund, nurses' scholarships, and other projects.
