Term: Chore-boy (logging)
Definition:
One who cleans up the sleeping quarters and stable in a logging camp; the cook's assistant who did the heavy work such as cutting firewood, building fires and carrying water. Same as shanty-boy, shanty-boss, bar-room-man. View more information about logging elsewhere at wisconsinhistory.org
