Definition:
1. A V-shaped runway of lumber to bring logs out of the mountains or steep hills. 2. An inclined trough in which water runs, used in transporting logs or timbers. Same as sluice, water-slide, wet-slide. View more information about logging elsewhere at wisconsinhistory.org
