Term: Wing-jam (logging)
Definition:
A jam which is formed against an obstacle in the stream and slants up-stream until the upper end rests solidly against one shore, with an open channel for the passage of logs on the opposite side. View more information about logging elsewhere at wisconsinhistory.org
