Job Duties:

The duties involve all aspects of working to repair and maintain a wide variety of vehicles and mechanical equipment. The applicant must be able to work well as a team member, be self-starting and motivated. The position is part to full-time (24-40 hours per week, i.e. 3-5days/week), scheduled between the hours of 6 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday. This position is expected to last 2 to 6 months.

  1. A criminal background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment to determine if the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job.
  2. The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 requires employers to hire only individuals who are eligible to work in the United States. Upon reporting for work, an individual will be expected to present proper evidence establishing employability.
  3. Valid driver's license and state residency are required.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Able to perform skilled automotive, light truck, heavy-duty truck and equipment repairs including both diesel and gasoline powered automotive, farm and light construction equipment. Equipment includes automobiles, light and heavy-duty trucks, dumps trucks, tractors, end loaders, off-road equipment, four wheel drive trucks, etc.
  • Able to use diagnostic equipment to test electrical and electronic circuits, transmissions, steering controls, suspension and drive trains.
  • Able to service a wide variety of lawn and garden equipment including commercial mowers, tillers, lawn tractors, aerators, and thatchers.
  • Able to perform gas and electric welding fabrications and repair of general and special use equipment. Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
