H.H. Bennett Studio Open Year Round for School Tours

The nation's only restored 1875 photography studio, H.H.Bennett Studio offers school groups a unique destination for an educational outing. The historic studio offers students and their teachers a unique learning environment that at once educates and entertains. School groups will come away from their visit with a better understanding of the evolution of photography — and the vital role Wisconsin's own H. H. Bennett played in its development. And in the process, they'll learn how Bennett's stereo cameras created stunning three-dimensional images, how stop-action photography was made possible, and how the images created in this historic studio helped make Wisconsin Dells the tourist mecca it remains today. Follow the links to the left for more information about arranging a school tour. Follow the "Related Resources" links at the right for more information on other educational services provided by the Wisconsin Historical Society.
