Wisconsin's Historic Markers


If you've been reading about the state's plans to close 50 highway waysides, you may be aware that at least nine hold historical markers. The Society has authorized more than 470 markers across the state, and keeps detailed information on the Society's Web site. The society also publishes "History Just Ahead: A Guide to Wisconsin Historical Markers," a book about all of our markers.
