Historic Sites Savings in August

Families take note. Throughout August 2004, visitors to any of the Wisconsin Historical Society's historic sites can slash in half the price of admission for kids 5-12 — thanks to a discount coupon being made available to all comers by Culver's restaurants throughout Wisconsin.

Culver's is partnering with the Wisconsin Historical Society to provide opportunities for families to make the most of August — and save money doing so — by offering 50-percent discounts on admission to the historic sites for children through a special promotion. Throughout the month the restaurant will make the discounts available in the form of a coupon included in tray liners that will be in use at Culver's restaurants statewide.

Culver's customers can use the discount coupons at:

  • Circus World Museum, Baraboo
  • H. H. Bennett Studio & History Center, Wisconsin Dells
  • Madeline Island Historical Museum, La Pointe
  • Old World Wisconsin, Eagle
  • Pendarvis, Mineral Point
  • Stonefield, Cassville
  • Villa Louis, Prairie du Chien
  • Wade House, Greenbush
  • (First Capitol in Belmont offers free admission all season)

"We are grateful to Culver's for their generosity in helping to make our historic sites more visible and attractive to families and the traveling public during the height of the summer tourism season," said Alicia Goehring, who directs the Historical Society's historic sites program. "This is the sort of public-private partnership that we think helps to support the mission of the Historical Society's historic sites to reach new audiences and to educate and entertain them," said Goehring.
