Museum Folklore Exhibit: Handmade Objects

a combination of images from the Wisconsin Historical Museum's Person to Person exhibit
In a technological age where many of the world’s treasure appear virtually at our fingertips, there is something special about seeing actual handmade objects directly in front of you. Person to Person: Communicating Identity Through Wisconsin Folk Objects provides an opportunity to appreciate the craftsmanship, skills, and dedication of folk artists in 100+ colorful, complex, and delicate objects. Visit the Wisconsin Historical Museum and take time to ponder and investigate the stories represented in each object and see the creative ways in which artists and makers communicate identity through material expressions of folk traditions and styles.

Person to Person is supported by the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission with additional funds from the Madison Community Foundation and the Overture Foundation.
