1966 Prom: White Gloves and Tuxedos
After being invited to West High School's senior prom in Madison, Wisconsin, by Jim Wilson, Martha "Marti" Hall set out to choose a dress, one of the biggest decisions in her young life. She decided to make her own gown.
This week's Museum Object of the Week is a prom dress from 1966, the story of its creation, as well as a snapshot of the creator wearing the dress.
