Big Savings at Wisconsin Historic Sites June 5
Anyone planning a visit to any of seven Wisconsin Historical Society historic sites this season should mark Sunday, June 5, on their calendars to achieve big savings on admission prices that day only. That's because six of the sites will slash admission prices to just $2 per person — for adults and children alike — that day only to show appreciation for their visitors in years past and to give new visitors an inexpensive entrée to the fun and excitement of living history. One site will offer free admission all day.
The special $2-per-person Visitor Appreciation Day offer includes Old World Wisconsin, Villa Louis, Wade House, H. H. Bennett Studio & History Center, Pendarvis and Stonefield. Visitors attending Visitor Appreciation Day at Old World Wisconsin will pay an additional $3 per person if they wish to use tram transportation or an electronic tour guide. Madeline Island Historical Museum will offer free admission on June 5 only, and admission to First Capitol in Belmont, which opens June 15, is free all season. The reduced-admission offer does not include Circus World in Baraboo.
The Visitor Appreciation Day offer coincides with a statewide free-admission day on June 5 at Wisconsin State Parks, offering an ample selection of state park and historic site destinations to mix-and-match for a family friendly Wisconsin outing. The entire weekend of June 5-6 also offers free fishing statewide.
