New in the Magazine: Restoration of Villa Louis

The summer issue of the Wisconsin Magazine of History features images of the extensive restoration of Villa Louis, the Wisconsin Historical Society's historic house museum in Prairie du Chien. The restoration began in 1995 and involved dozens of staff, historians, artisans, and technicians to restore Villa Louis to the glory of the 1890s. The Wisconsin Magazine of History is available at bookstores across the state or can be ordered from the Wisconsin Historical Museum Store.
