Art of the Ethnic Easter Egg Exhibit Online
The Wisconsin Historical Museum is pleased to present "From Shell to Symbol: Art of the Ethnic Easter Egg." The virtual exhibition features dozens of colorfully decorated Easter eggs by four Wisconsin artists representing Ukrainian, Croatian, and Slovakian traditions. View detailed images of the intricate, hand-decorated eggs and learn about the origins and symbolic meanings behind the designs.
"From Shell to Symbol" is the latest effort by the Society's Museum to present online content from previous gallery exhibitions. Web users who may not have had an opportunity to visit the Wisconsin Historical Museum now have the same access to the intriguing stories and beautiful objects of Wisconsin history as do museum visitors.
