Circus World Looks to the Future
Despite its ongoing struggle to cope with an unprecedented budget crisis, Circus World Museum looks to the future with hope and optimism. That's because the museum's Board of Directors has not only unanimously affirmed its commitment to keep the museum open through its regularly scheduled summer season ending September 5, 2005, but also has committed to an all-out effort to maintain staffing, protect the site's collections, and begin planning for a vision of the museum's future.
As owner of the museum and its collections, the Wisconsin Historical Society and its staff have joined in the effort. Part of the Society's commitment is to keep Circus World Museum's many fans and stakeholders up to date on the status of the museum and its future. Toward that end, we have added a new section to the Web site that will provide the latest news and developments about the museum as work continues to ensure it completes the 2005 season and begins to build a vision for a brighter tomorrow.
