Each year the Society recognizes outstanding historical work that helps connect people to the past. If you know of excellent work on state history that should be recognized, now's the time to send in your nomination. If, in calendar year 2006, you created a program, wrote or published a book, designed an exhibit, put up a Web site, or produced some other means of sharing the past, don't be shy. We encourage people to nominate their own work. And if you simply know about an especially good historical enterprise, send this page to its creator by following the "Email this page to a friend" link down at the bottom.

The deadline for nominations is April 1, 2007, and winners will be announced in early summer. You can find criteria, instructions, and nomination forms for each award by following the links below. If you have questions, you can find contact information listed on each of the awards' home pages.
