November Workshops at Old World Wisconsin

A pair of tatted baby booties with blue silk lining, circa 1918, from the clothing and textiles collections of the Wisconsin Historical Museum

The time is now to sign up for the remaining Old World Wisconsin workshops in the outdoor museum's fall schedule. The workshops are designed to teach 21st-century Wisconsinites many of the customs, trades and crafts practiced routinely by 19th-century Wisconsin immigrants. November workshop offerings range from Russian Punch Needle Embroidery and Tatting, the technique used to create the tatted baby booties above, to creating a Windowsill Herb Garden, and preparing meals with Wood Stove Cooking. Visit the Old World Wisconsin workshops page for complete details and contact information.
