Leave a Legacy through Planned Giving

Leaving a legacy means passing on the values you believe in to the generations that follow — and for many, those values include the preservation and sharing of Wisconsin's rich history. Perhaps you are among the many people who have benefited from the resources and assistance the Wisconsin Historical Society provides in helping make important connections to your own family's past. The Society's vast collections, programs and services touch millions of people annually in their quest to learn about their heritage. But sustaining these services for generations to come depends upon charitable giving.

The recently adopted Pension Protection Act has incorporated a package of charitable giving incentives including an IRA distribution provision. These incentives provide new options for individuals interested in making charitable contributions to organizations.

There is no better way to thank the organizations that have had an impact on your life than to consider them as part of the family through your estate planning. If you would like more information on how you can support the Wisconsin Historical Society, or would like to learn more about planned giving, please visit the giving opportunities portion of our Web site, or contact Wisconsin Historical Foundation development officer Jeanne Engle via email or by telephone at 608-264-6580.
