The Wisconsin Historical Society Has a New Look!

One of five signs that surround the Wisconsin Historical Society's headquarters building, bearing the Society's new look

This change is part of a new branding effort to ensure that we continue to be relevant and accessible to you. You will see our new look with increasing frequency as we transition to this new design throughout our entire organization. But this only represents the visual aspect of a larger effort to better serve you. We are also making changes that reflect how we express ourselves, how we welcome you as our visitor, and how we can engage you with our products and services.

Another part of that effort is making improvements to our website to enhance your experience. So far, we have created and launched newly designed websites for each of our 10 historic sites. Each features streamlined navigation, an enhanced calendar section and vivid photography. Through the new "Explore" sections, you can now tour our historic sites online prior to an actual on-site visit. To see for yourself, tour the Explore section for Old World Wisconsin.

Our main site is currently being redesigned to keep pace with rapidly changing technology. Simple-to-use navigation will quickly lead you to the information you are looking for. Our content will be easier to find. Whether you use our site for a simple pursuit of information or a deeper quest for understanding and enlightenment, you will know at a glance about the breadth and depth of resources available to you. For now, we've updated only the color palette and new logo as a precursor to future transformations.

We at the Wisconsin Historical Society are working hard to continue to be your indispensable web resource for Wisconsin and North American history.

We welcome your comments and suggestions. Just send us an email.
