The Wisconsin Historical Society and the Wisconsin Federation of Museums have announced their annual offering of spring workshops for museum professionals and volunteers. The five daylong workshops are geared toward the staff and volunteers of local historical societies and museums. This year's workshop topics range from designing exhibits on a small budget and collections management to conducting Civil War research and effective volunteer management. The Society and the Wisconsin Federation of Museums work to coordinate nationally recognized experts, Wisconsin specialists, and hands-on learning activities to bring these workshops to our local partners. Workshop fees are $35 for Society members and members of the Wisconsin Federation of Museums. Non-member fees are $60. For complete details, including detailed workshop descriptions and a printable registration form, visit our local history workshops page.
