Taste Traditions of Wisconsin: Barns
The Wisconsin Historical Museum will continue its tasty and popular dinner series celebrating Wisconsin food, history and culture with Taste Traditions of Wisconsin: Barns with Jerry Apps from 6:30 to 9 pm on Wednesday, May 11. Apps, author of Barns of Wisconsin, is one of the most popular and prolific authors for the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. A master storyteller, Apps will reflect on the historic role that barns have played on Wisconsin farms and in the state's pastoral culture. May is Wisconsin Historic Preservation and Archaeology Month, an appropriate occasion for a discussion of the historic importance of barns in the Dairy State and the movement preserve them as part of our state's unique heritage.
