Free Admission for Active-Duty Military

The Wisconsin Historical Museum on Madison's Capitol Square is one of 35 Wisconsin museums offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day

As a means of saying thank you to our men and women in uniform, the Wisconsin Historical Museum is one of 35 Wisconsin museums offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The museum is taking part in a nationwide Blue Star Museums initiative, a partnership between Blue Star Families, the National Endowment for the Arts and more than 1,300 museums across the country. The program provides free admission to active-duty military ID holders and up to five immediate family members from May 30 through September 5, 2011.

Other Participating Madison-Area Museums

Other museums in the Madison area that are taking part in the Blue Star Museums initiative include the Chazen Museum of Art, the Dean House, Madison Children's Museum and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.
