The Society's Press at Garden Expo 2012

With the recent publication of several books on the topic of gardening, the Wisconsin Historical Society Press will take part in the upcoming Garden Expo 2012 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. The Expo runs from Friday through Sunday, February 10–12. Jerry and Ruth Apps, authors of Garden Wisdom: Lessons Learned from 60 Years of Gardening, will be on hand at the Society Press booth from 6–8 pm on Friday and from 1–4 pm Sunday. "Garden Wisdom" and several other gardening-related books will be available for sale, including Vintage Wisconsin Gardens: A History of Home Gardening by Lee Somerville and Putting Down Roots: Gardening Insights from Wisconsin's Early Settlers by Marcia Carmichael.
