Blues, BBQ & Beer at the Museum on the Square
Join the Wisconsin Historical Museum and the Madison Blues Society for a trio of barbecue dinner feasts and blues music. The events are sure to be a feast for the ears and the taste buds. You'll enjoy the area's leading musicians, caterers and breweries, but time to sign up is running out. Registration and payment for the first event on Thursday, August 16, Blues, BBQ & Beer: Blues Meets Jazz, are required by Thursday, August 9. That event kicks off the series with a catered meal by Underground Catering, beer from Sprecher Brewery, and a musical performance by Louka Patenaude, one of Madison's best and most unusual guitarists from 6:30–9 pm. Sign up now and you can attend all three events for one discounted price.
Two More Evenings of Blues, BBQ and Beer in Store in August
If you can't attend the first event in the series, mark your calendar for two more exciting evenings of fine food and great music. On Friday, August 24, Blues, BBQ & Beer: Westside Andy and Glen Davis will feature food from Blowin' Smoke BBQ and beer from Potosi Brewery along with a sampling of different blues traditions performed by Westide Andy and Glen Davis.
On Thursday, August 30, the final event in the series, Blues, BBQ & Beer: Blue Return will feature a performance and presentation by a collection of area musicians with deep roots in the blues. Enjoy food from Working Class Catering and beer from Capital Brewery.
