Holiday Shopping at the Historical Museum
With another Thanksgiving behind us, and December just around the corner, the holiday season is officially in full swing. And, if you haven't already wrapped up your holiday shopping, the Wisconsin Historical Museum on Madison's Capitol Square should be on your list of bargain-hunting destinations. Author-signed books make great gifts. And if there's a Green Bay Packers fan on your shopping list, consider visiting the museum on Saturday, December 1, as sports author William Povletich talks about his latest book 'Green Bay Packers: Trials, Triumphs, and Tradition.' He'll sign books after his talk.
More Author Appearances — and a Holiday Sale
On Saturday, December 8, you can take advantage of a single event featuring eight Wisconsin Historical Press authors, giving you a wide variety of book-shopping choices. Then, from Thursday, December 13 through Sunday, December 16, the museum store, stocked with a wide assortment of unique gifts, will hold its 10th Annual Holiday Sale. During the holiday sale, on Saturday, December 15, one of the most popular — and prolific — Wisconsin Historical Society Press authors, rural historian Jerry Apps, will be discussing his books and signing copies.
