Old World Wisconsin Celebrates Christmas
Telltale signs of the Christmas season are already all around us — in shopping malls and festive storefronts. But if you would like to experience the Christmas season as 19th-century rural settlers and village dwellers did, the place to go is Old World Wisconsin. The outdoor museum will host The Spirit of Christmas Past the first two weekends of December, giving visitors a sense of how Wisconsinites observed the holiday long before the commercial trappings of the season that we are so accustomed to today,
A Russian Holiday Dinner
The Old World Wisconsin Foundation will celebrate the holiday with a festive meal that might have been served by Russian immigrants during its Russian Holiday Dinner events the first two weeks of December, including a matinee meal on Sunday, December 2. Reservations are required, and the Saturday dinners are already sold out, so sign up soon by calling 262-594-2922 or via email.
