Don't Miss Circus of Chefs ... The Gala 2013

Circus World's annual benefit fundraiser, Circus of Chefs … The Gala 2013 marks its 10th anniversary this year when the festive event kicks off on Sunday evening, June 23, at the world-renowned circus museum and performance venue. Many of southern Wisconsin's best chefs, brewmasters, vintners and other food and beverage purveyors will gather under one roof to serve samples of their finest cuisine, beer, wine and other tasty treats during at Circus World in Baraboo. And it's all being done for a good cause — all proceeds from the event will benefit Circus World.

Silent and Live Auctions Add to the Fun

The Gala offers guests an opportunity to mingle as they sample some of the state's finest restaurant fare while browsing a wide assortment of silent and live auction goods that have been donated by event sponsors, and Circus World's Board of Directors. The silent and live auctions feature table after table of donated items, including artwork, consumer electronics, fine wines, framed photographs, gift certificate packages, spa services, fine dining certificates, home decorating items, professional sports tickets, jewelry and specialty items. A special "cork sale" allows attendees to purchase numbered corks for $10, which will then be matched with a variety of fine wines and premium spirits. Everyone is a winner, and some will take home an exceptional wine or premium spirit.

Top Chefs and Beverage Purveyors Recognized

A panel of judges will evaluate entries from more than 30 restaurants, wineries and breweries, and will deem culinary creations and drinks in five categories as the best of the best: appetizers, entrées, desserts, beer and wine. Those lucky participants will walk away with prestigious "Silver Tray" awards, presented to the winners of each category.

The festive fundraiser will be held amid the color and splendor of the museum's priceless collection of hand-carved, antique circus wagons. After the food sampling and browsing, guests will settle in for the live auction, with a rousing circus performance capping off the evening.
