Society Press Author Featured at Garden Expo
Celebrated rural historian and Wisconsin Historical Society Press author is one of the headlining speakers at the Garden Expo at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison February 7 through February 9. Apps will share "Garden Wisdom: Lessons Learned from 60 Year of Gardening" in a special seminar at 2:15 pm Saturday, based upon his Wisconsin Historical Society Press book of the same name. On Sunday, at 10:15 am, Apps will draw again from "Garden Wisdom" to detail how to "Plan, Plant and Harvest a Three Sisters Garden."

Apps will be available to sign copies of many of his books, including his most recent Wisconsin Historical Society Press books, 'The Quiet Season: Remembering Country Winters,' 'Limping through Life: A Farm Boy's Polio Memoir' and 'Garden Wisdom: Lessons Learned from 60 Years of Gardening,' at the Wisconsin Historical Society Press booth in the Garden Expo Exhibit Hall (booth number 920-921). The booth will be open throughout the Garden Expo Friday, February 7, from 3 to 9 pm, Saturday, February 8, from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday, February 9, from 10 am to 4 pm. In-booth signing times are from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 2 pm Sunday.
