Bell Coulee Rockshelter Tour
Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center (MVAC)Regional Archaeologist Robert "Ernie" Boszhardt will lead a tour of a local rock art site to coincide with Wisconsin Archaeology Month. The tour will include a visit to the Bell Coulee rockshelter, where prehistoric carvings of bison are preserved. The tour is limited to 25 people and will depart from the UW-LaCrosse Archaeology Center and Laboratories. A fee of $25 per participant will defray costs and support rock art preservation in the region. Participants should wear good walking shoes and cameras are welcome. Advanced registration is required.
