Historic Preservation and Smart Growth
Smart Growth is a national movement that has now spread to Wisconsin. The Smart Growth movement is a reaction to the threats of Urban Sprawl, or unplanned, unsightly and wasteful growth.
With the passage of Act 25 in 2005 (revising the original 1999 legislation from Act 9), Wisconsin demonstrated its continued dedication to be among the progressive states seeking a solution through comprehensive planning.
