Tailgate
parties occur at sporting events throughout the country,
but in Wisconsin they have come to play an especially
important role in community identity. In stadium parking
lots before and after a game, large numbers of fans
crowd around vehicles to socialize, grill brats, drink
beer, listen to music, and celebrate their team. Perhaps
nowhere is the spirit of tailgating as strong as on
game day at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
