1. Wisconsin Primary Editorial Cartoons
Original drawings of editorial cartoons concerning the 2004 Wisconsin presidential primary campaign focusing on Democratic candidates John Kerry and Howard Dean. Included are cartoons by Mike Keefe (Denver Post), Sandy Huffaker, Robert Ariail, Jim Day (Las Vegas Review Journal), and Dana Summers (Orlando Sentinel).
2. Malcolm X speech
Tape recording of a speech by Malcolm X at the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem, given Feb. 15, 1965, six days before his assassination. He speaks about the fire bombing of his home the previous day, his travels and how they have changed his ideas, and his disillusionment with Black Muslim leader Elijah Muhammad. Also includes a photocopy of a published transcription of the speech.
3. Governor John W. Reynolds Papers
Papers of a former Wisconsin Governor principally documenting Reynolds tenure as United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin (7th Circuit Court) and consisting of subject files, case files, personal correspondence, news clippings, photographs, and films. Appointed in 1965, he became chief federal judge in 1971, and in 1986 assumed senior judge status. Reynolds was perhaps best known for his decision that set in motion the racial desegregation of the Milwaukee schools. Also included are materials concerning the Democratic Party, political campaigns, and offices he held as Attorney General and Governor.

1. County Court (Marinette County). Insane and commitment case files, 1924-1927.
Summary: Case files detailing the commitment of insane and feeble-minded people in Marinette County to state institutions. Also included are the commitment cases of adults and some juveniles to the County General Hospital and the County Sanitorium.
Access Restrictions: Section 51.30, 1997-98 Wis. Stat, regarding mental health records, Chapter 146 regarding patient health care records, and Chapter 48 regarding records within the children's code all restrict access to these records. Researchers wishing to use these records should contact the reference archivist.

2. Racine County. Register of Deeds. Grantor indexes [microform], 1839-1886.
Quantity: 5 reels of microfilm (35mm)
Summary: Documents recording the conveyance of real estate. Entries show number and type of deed, date, names of grantor and grantee, description of property, names of witnesses, amount paid, date recorded, and notarial acknowledgement. The volume numbers were assigned by the archivist.
