Manuscript Collections:
George D. Foss
Reminiscences of George Foss of his youth in River Falls during the Depression including descriptions of family poverty after his father lost his job, his father’s work with the W.P.A., local businesses, and church and school life. The memoir covers the years 1932 through 1942. This small collection is housed at the River Falls Area Research Center.

Summary: Documents recording the conveyance of real estate. Type of documents present include deeds, quitclaim deeds, warranty deeds, land contracts, sheriff's deeds on foreclosures, guardian's deeds, and land patents. Entries typically show date, names of grantor and grantee, description of property, names of witnesses, amount paid, date recorded, and notarial acknowledgement.
